IT Support Engineer

Our client, the financial services arm of a global company, is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team in Sydney for an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

The role itself presents a unique opportunity to work across the support of both infrastructure and business applications, including Microsoft Office, Windows, Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, and loan origination and loan management applications.

Our client prides themselves on being an exceptional learning ground, and their small technology team will allow you to get exposure to multiple parts of the business. The team is and dynamic and motivated and is part of a large and highly complex organisation with a strong pipeline of projects.

You will be responsible for providing IT support face to face, over the phone, and through email and ticketing systems.

Essential Criteria
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in Information Technology
  • Experience working on an IT service desk with face to face and phone support
  • Proven ability to support business applications and diagnose issues, ideally within the finance or insurance industry
  • Technical expertise across MS Office, Windows OS, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and Citrix XenApp
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology
