Do work that makes a difference This is an exciting opportunity for Technical Lead (Operations) to work with a highly motivated team to provide subject matter expertise toward a Technology Simplification project
This role sits within the core project team in the Bank's IT Infrastructure Services area. As part of the role you will be working closely with technical, vendor and business stakeholders to successfully deliver the Bank's Collaboration Strategy.
This is a fixed term opportunity until end September 2025. The key aspect of this role will be to understand the current solutions and components, and provide specialised technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations on delivering agreed solutions, leveraging on the current technology practises in place.
Your team You will work with a team of incredibly intelligent people, who are very passionate about modern workplace and digital transformation. The core project team comprises of SME's from various areas subject matter expertise as well as business users and stakeholders. It is a challenging, fast paced, and collaborative team environment with a great culture.
Your background You will have strong knowledge of all IT LAN/WAN environments plus expert knowledge in numerous IT Systems. You value a supportive and progressive team culture. You will be responsible for technical implementation of projects outcomes including assisting with analysis, design, implementation, post-go live support, and transition to ongoing maintenance.
To be successful in this critical role you will possess:
- Expert knowledge of enterprise systems management, including configuring and modifying infrastructure objects and alerting thresholds.
- Ability to liaise with other areas experts when discussing TCPIP networking.
- Experience scripting and building automation in an enterprise environment.
- Significant experience in an IT operational support role within a medium to large environment.
- Ability to provide supervision and guidance to all levels of staff.
- Review processes and find improvements.
- Expert experience working within a service orientated and risk adverse environment.
- Experience working in and supporting financial environments.
- Experience evolving application monitoring to the latest industry best practice.
- Have strong technical skills for any new automation or monitoring tools as well as the ability to install and configure them.
Other required qualifications:
- Graduate or Diploma qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry.
- ITIL Foundation or technical certifications.
