Role
Our client is looking for an exceptional Exchange Connectivity Team Lead in either EU or APAC time zones to help them realise their goal of building out cutting-edge systems responsible for executing millions of trades on various CeFi and DeFi venues across the globe. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the organisations connections to various cryptocurrency exchanges, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of their trading systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers focused on exchange connectivity.
• Design and implement robust, high-performance connectivity solutions for multiple crypto exchanges.
• Collaborate with trading teams to understand and meet their connectivity requirements.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of exchange integration systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in cryptocurrency exchange APIs and protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Set team strategy, plan workloads and act as the conduit connecting business priorities with team outcomes.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in software development (ideally gained in a top tier HFT firm), with a focus on order management and entry, or experience in market data will also be relevant for this role.
• Strong knowledge of exchange APIs, WebSocket, and low-latency communication protocols.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (C++ required, Python and Typescript beneficial).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Deep understanding of low latency exchange connectivity and has led a team in this space.
• Polished Communication and Interpersonal skills along with a can-do attitude.
• Bachelor’s or master’s level degree in computer science, mathematics, or relevant field.
• A history of good tenure in your career history (e.g., 2+ years average).

This role would be suited to an experienced leader of exchange connectivity software engineers across TradFi, CeFi or ideally DeFi hubs.
