How will I help?

The Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Community Lead provides advice and support to build and protect the Westpac brand across the Westpac Pacific portfolio. The position is responsible for targeted brand and marketing strategies; for managing internal & external communication and engagement; and for initiatives that advance Westpac's corporate and social responsibility (CSR) agenda in the Pacific. Some of the core deliverables for this role are:
  • Develop and deliver the Pacific Banking Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Community Strategy.
  • Provide communications and marketing advice and counsel to the MD, Pacific and Pacific LT.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate issues which pose a reputational threat in a timely and effective manner.
  • Align with Group Media, Reputation, Government and Community teams to ensure consistent and collaborative approach to external initiatives.
  • Lead the team in developing effective and best practice communications initiatives, drive the implementation of the Community strategy to ensure maximum impact aligned to Pacific Strategy
  • Lead the delivery of the Westpac Pacific's Government Relations Strategy
  • Work with Government Affairs team to develop and implement the Australian initiatives relevant to the Pacific Bank including ensuring proactive external Government engagement activities
  • Raise awareness of the impact of the Westpac Pacific Social Impact/Community programs
  • Coordinate and drive implementation of Pacific's Position Statements and guidance to respond to emerging ESG/sustainability expectations

What do I need?
  • 8 - 10 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong proficiency in social and digital marketing platforms and strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing CSR initiatives within marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Energy and drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Experience in financial services is considered a plus.
  • Note: Some international travel will be required
