â€¢ reconcile market orders versus UBS executions on T0
â€¢ adhere to best practice risk management frameworks and reporting standards throughout the trade lifecycle (execution, booking and settlement)
â€¢ be the first point of contact for trading desks and client queries
â€¢ take ownership of all aspects of risk associated with the client, including unmatched and failed trades, service issues with regulatory/compliance implications
â€¢ develop a deep understanding of bank processes, systems and risk reporting frameworks
â€¢ collating and uploading give-up/give-in executions received from external brokers for UBS Swap clients
â€¢ manage the client account opening process via liaison with onboarding and static data teams, and also ensuring ongoing data quality in UBS systems

UBS Group Operations provides the infrastructure and capability for the Bank to execute its business, ensuring we deliver a premium service to our clients, improving productivity without comprising our reputation, regulatory requirements or internal control framework. The Securities Middle Office team supports all Australian institutional equity flows (primary and secondary markets) from front to back, as well as post trade client services for local Australian clients trading internationally.
Your experience and skills
â€¢ tertiary qualified (preferred)
â€¢ previous trade support/middle office experience in investment banking, stockbroking or funds management
â€¢ general knowledge of middle and back office operations, including bookings, confirmations, settlements and corporate actions
â€¢ ability and willingness to take ownership for, and find a resolution to break downs in booking models and IT flows
â€¢ understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape in Australia
â€¢ systems knowledge: GBST Shares, Iress/IOS, DTCC CTM (preferred)
â€¢ someone with a high attention to detail
â€¢ quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
â€¢ excellent communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
â€¢ excellent time manager with the ability to multi-task and prioritise urgent tasks
â€¢ excellent problem solver with proven analytical skills
