Job Description
Seeking a passionate a Business Systems Manager to lead a team focused on Business systems across all areas of sustainable construction!

About the role:

This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a good chance for extension and company retention when it finally ends.

The Business Systems Manager will be passionate and lead a team focused on Business systems across areas such as Concrete, Quarries, Asphalt Supply Chain and Cement.

You will deliver and manage the digital solutions and associated processes required for leading the market in Australia.

This is a senior role and you will need to build relationships with stakeholders throughout all levels of the organisation in order to drive our Customer Centric behaviours and thinking.

Before you enter:
  • you will 100% need to demonstrate management of ops teams, ideally around Oracle/ERP
  • You will 100% need to demonstrate vendor management.

Accountabilities:
  • Deliver on the zero-harm objective for self and team by seeking out and removing workplace hazards
Delivery of operational application support services:
  • Take ownership for demonstrating stable and operational digital platforms to the customer. This includes ownership of operational technical support and incident resolution.
  • Ensure operational covers all key fundamentals, such as disaster recovery, backups, monitoring and patching support, and user access management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement
Demand management:
  • Ensure prioritisation and resolution of both Service Requests and Incidents for the suite of applications under Business systems.
  • Implement a mechanism to ensure the backlog is visible to the team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other Managers to ensure there is alignment between multiple delivery teams from a business perspective
Leadership:
  • Provide effective line management to the team including clear performance objectives, key results and clear consequence for underperformance
  • Deliver services to the agreed Operating budgets for the financial year
  • Work with internal and external audit partners to support completion of scheduled audits and action items raised within a timely manner
  • Work with key business stakeholders to build relationships
  • Work with the BDS Contracts and Commercial team to manage vendors, contracts and costs
  • Plan appropriate operational support around key calendar milestones, such as year and half year end.
Systems Strategy:
  • Influence business and customers to advocate for continuous streamlining and efficiency
  • Work with business to identify ways to solve business problems without application development
Education: Relevant University degree desirable or equivalent experience as a Business Owner or Manager of Business Systems, with a focus on Oracle eBusiness Suite

Experience:
  • 4+ years demonstrable experience as a Manager Business Systems, with a focus on Oracle eBusiness Suite
  • Demonstrable experience of building trust with stakeholders and seeking out first hand stakeholder experience information and using that knowledge to drive improvements
  • Success at influencing and leading in a broad sense including influencing individuals that you do not directly have oversight of.
  • Experience and ability to manage the Total Cost of Ownership as to balance and articulate long term strategic thinking and short-term tactical planning
  • Proven experience of inspiring, coaching and motivating others.
  • Set and achieve the IT & business objectives through early and incremental releases / system upgrades
  • Managing dependencies between cross-functional agile teams
