Our client is a Global FinTech Firm, offering data, research, and consultancy services for the alternative investment market. We are seeking a business development professional within the global accounts team, to nurture and grow strategic accounts in the region. This role will drive sales and open new avenues of growth, meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and goals in addition to the activities outlined below.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Extensive customer-facing activity including prospecting new clients, the ongoing development of existing accounts and driving sales
  • Understand the customers’ business, identify their needs, and provide a solution that will add value to their business. Attending conferences when required which will assist in strengthening company brand
  • Manage renewals and strengthen relationships with existing accounts via phone, email, or face-to-face meetings. Service customers and prospects with quotes, engage in product demonstration, and provide sample products. Prospecting new business and managing incoming leads
  • Reporting and internal administration  includes; CRM activity log, monthly reports to management, order administration, creating renewal analysis and preparing proposals 
  • Build strong profiles for top 20-30 clients which will continue to provide value to our customers and identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop sufficient product, technical and alternative investment market knowledge, deliver management quarterly territory strategy plans

 

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Min 4+ years sales and relationship management experience in a similar discipline
  • Exposure in investment banks, investment managers, asset managers, superannuation, fund managers, law firms and primary third-party firms that service the alternative asset industry (advantage)
  • Proven experience in solution selling and conducting face to face presentations
  • Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with end-user and decision-makers
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and using CRM systems
  • Strategic mindset and working knowledge of the data vending industry (preferred)
