Our client is a boutique, capital markets, advisory firm run out of London with growing presence globally, including offices in New York and Singapore. The firm provides intraday market information to their clients which include top banks, hedge funds, asset managers, brokers and prop trading firms. The team is made up of seasoned markets professionals who were previous heads of divisions for leading investment banks.
The firm is seeking an Asia Rates Strategist to be based from Australia or Singapore to cover clients in the Asia timezone. The role will be responsible for G10 rates predominantly and may also have coverage of EM Asia when required. Candidates should be highly confident in all products including futures, cash, swaps, options and bond issuance. The role will provide short, sharp analysis on a daily basis, so succinct and fast writing capability pertaining to markets is also an important skill.
Our client is open-minded to the level and years of experience for the right candidate. The most successful applicants have usually been operating at a senior level within a previous banking team as a trader, salesperson, strategist or portfolio manager in fixed income markets. The role offers a competitive salary however this is not suited to candidates who prioritise global markets investment banking compensation. The trade off comes in the form of taking ownership of your day through remote working arrangements and working with a likeminded team.
