Our client is a large and respected organisation seeking a collection professional to join its finance team.This is an opportunity to step into a specialist position where you'll be trusted to manage a complex portfolio and contribute to the ongoing effectiveness of the organisation's revenue function.
Your new role
Manage the end-to-end recovery process for outstanding rates, charges and other revenue accountsNegotiate and administer payment arrangements tailored to individual circumstances.
Monitor account performance and follow up on missed payment commitments
Coordinate escalated recovery actions through approved external providers
Respond to customer enquiries and complaints relating to outstanding accounts
Prepare reporting and analysis to support management decision-making and recovery performance
Maintain and enhance debt recovery workflows, system processes and reporting tools
Identify trends, risks and opportunities across debt portfolios to improve collection outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience managing collections, recoveries or accounts receivable portfolios within a regulated environmentStrong understanding of account recovery processes, compliance obligations and customer hardship considerations
Demonstrated ability to negotiate payment solutions and manage sensitive customer conversations
Experience overseeing escalated recoveries and working with external service providers
Strong analytical capability with the ability to review account trends and identify potential risks
Advanced reporting and spreadsheet skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Previous experience working with large-scale finance or ERP systems
Current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
