You'll be responsible for
  • Following the AAL Claims Management Process and adhering to AAL standards to minimize claim costs.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting claims management and applying sound decision-making throughout the claim's lifecycle.
  • Managing expectations and relationships with claimants, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships within the team and the broader business unit.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing timely, effective responses to customer needs, adhering to AAL phone standards.

About you
  • Possess tertiary or industry-specific qualifications.
  • Meet technical capability and competence standards for professional progression, including submission of a portfolio (for AAL employees).
  • Experience in claims management across various general insurance product lines in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
  • Proficient in planning, prioritizing, organizing tasks, and managing resources effectively; skilled in interpreting complex information and making informed decisions, with high attention to detail and error identification.
