Job Title Project Manager
What does a successful Project manager do at Fiserv? As a Project Manager, takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables. May communicate with a company executive regarding the status of specific projects.
What You Will Do: - Accountable for delivery of the overall results of the project.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders (internal/external, vendor, client, etc.).
- Responsible for end-to-end project delivery from planning through to the closure of the project.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of payments related trends and issues. Actively research information on Industry changes and announcements
- Maintain a working understanding of the primary Fiserv systems used to deliver projects, as well as other emerging technologies.
- Ensures project methodologies and delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed. This includes managing and driving the project schedule; risk and issue management logs; scope change management
- Manage the project budget. This includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively
- Provides clear and concise project communication, both written and verbal
- Assist the business users and project team in defining the scope, benefits and risks of proposed solutions/projects.
- Work with various business sponsors, departments and business users within the client's organization to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met and managed.
- Provide timely updates to project / team leaders and keep management and leadership apprised of any risks and issues related to the area(s) of responsibility and work.
- Analyse impact of change requests on existing Fiserv software solutions and offer feasible solutions taking the risks, resources, budget and schedule into consideration.
- Collaborate and interact with peers at the Business and Technical analyst levels.
- Recommend process and product improvements
- Perform additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
What You Will Need To Have: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, 4+ years of project management experience including management of major projects, in a large operating environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and or Microsoft Project Server
- Experience on Payments technology projects a must
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Proven problem-solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
- Ability to identify alternatives and develop contingency plans
- Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile and dynamic environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments is a must
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated items
What Would Be Great To Have: - Experience as a Project Manager leading large, complex projects/programs within financial institutions in Australia is desirable
- Working With MS Project and PowerPoint
- Manage a team within a Matrix Environment
