With a Head Office based on the Central Coast, New South Wales, this organisation has a presence around Australia and has been operating for a significant period of time.

Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this organisation needs your expertise as a Senior Financial Accountant. They are looking for someone who really wants to be part of a successful team, someone with exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills and someone who enjoys working as part of a high performing team

The Role
  • Preparation of the monthly Management Report with commentaries
  • Management of the completion of month end close, review monthly journals and ensuring reporting deadlines are met
  • Completion of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation review
  • Preparation and management of compliance and tax policies, reporting and lodgement requirements
  • Monthly review of project costings
  • Preparation of year end consolidated financial statements and manage responses to audit requests
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Involvement in ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Mentoring and supervising Assistant Accountant in managing payroll and General Ledger reconciliations
What you'll need to succeed

This is a role where you will bring your expertise to add value. To be truly successful you will have the following
  • Degree qualified with CA or CPA
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally some experience gained within Big 4 or Mid-tier Chartered firm
  • Highly developed MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and process management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised
