You'll be responsible for
  • Supporting our liability management objectives by ensuring that all adverse decisions are made on time, in accordance with the legislation and the quality decision making frameworks.
  • Providing technical and legal knowledge and strategic advice to claims staff and customers of Allianz.
  • Supporting the capability development of our claims staff through the resolution support of their queries and case management challenges.
  • Maintaining accountability for all procedures and outcomes that require Technical Manager endorsement and oversight, ensuring our regulatory and compliance obligations are fulfilled.
  • Assisting the business to understand technical and operational processes, legislation, guidelines, and contractual requirements in order to drive performance improvement and to keep teams up to date on expectations and changes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational controls and claim outcomes, supporting the business aims of process improvement/establishing best practices.

About you
  • Extensive case management experience in Workers Compensation or a personal injury scheme.
  • Significant experience in managing technical claims/situations in Worker Compensation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian Workers Compensation legislation and regulations.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation.
  • AMA training preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with system, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools including Acction and Novus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present to larger groups.
  • Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries, and service providers.
