Settlement's Officer
The Settlement Officer's role is to ensure the efficient, timely and accurate settlement of our market facing AO (Account Operator) and TPC (Third Party Clearing) client's trades.

This role requires staff to provide accurate and timely fails update and ensure all client's meet their ASX obligations and deadlines. Testing, process improvements and strong client service skills are key to being successful in this role.

  • To ensure all market obligations are met in an accurate and timely manner
  • To receive and distribute all incoming client inquiries for the department and monitor responses to ensure accuracy and adherence to our communication and service standards
  • Monitor and calculate client's short positions
  • To provide clients with accurate trade status updates
  • Minimise and reduce all market exposure by partially settling trades.
  • Liaise with broker and custodian counterparties regarding outstanding and failed settlements
  • Provide CDS (Citidirect for Securities) level 1 support for all clients and assist will rolling out new product offerings to assist our clients
  • To provide accurate and timely responses to client's regarding equity positions and trade status.
  • Design and maintenance of procedures and documents pertaining to TPC client service and settlement processing

  • Experience on clearing systems i.e. CHESS, EXIGO and GBST Shares (Preferred but not essential)
  • Exposure to client contact i.e. - proactive and/or quality service
  • Working knowledge of the Equities, Fixed Income and Cash markets in Australia Knowledge of SWIFT(Preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and client service experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to process map work flows and have a good understanding of system architecture.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to prioritize
