Senior Accounts Payable Officer
Your new company
Our client is a National company in the technology industry, due to exponential growth they are seeking to employ a highly skilled senior accounts payable officer for an initial period of 12 months.

Your new role
Reporting to the finance manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Weekly payment runs
  • Processing credit notes and supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Employee reimbursements
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Supplier management
  • EOM accurals and prepayments
  • Assist financial system testing, upgrades and roll-out
  • Continuous process improvement

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have 5 years experience in a similar position, system fluidity and intermediate excel will be imperative in this role. In addition to this you will also have:
  • Experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or minimum of 3 years experience in a full function accounts payable role including an understanding of activities such as the collection of overdue accounts and payment of GST
  • Strong understanding of best practices for accounts payables within a complex corporate environment with multiple entities
  • Demonstrated experience in the roll-out of new finance systems and processes in a dynamic environment
  • Well-developed prioritisation and time management skills, strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, and ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent mathematical, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Friendly and collaborative nature, emotionally mature to work with sensitive monetary information
