Your New Role As the Senior Case Manager in our Protect team, atypical day in your role will involve managing and administering a portfolio ofescalated or disputed Death claims and provision of support and subject matterexpertise to the team and our members. This is an important role in our Protectteam as you will also act as the Trustee delegate for claim decisions andpayments.
Thisopportunity is open to candidates based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
How do you exceed our expectations? To excel in this role, you will need significantexperience in life insurance claims, particularly Death claims. Your ability to manage disputedclaims, coupled with a strong understanding of legislative requirements forinsurance and claims, will make you stand out. Excellent communication skillsare essential, as you'll be liaising with both internal and externalstakeholders. Most importantly, a genuine care for our members is crucial.
In addition, you will have:
- Detailed expertise in the claims and underwriting process, with the ability to interpret policy rules;
- 3+ years' life insurance claims experience, preferably within a superannuation environment;
- Ability to engage distressed members/families in a professional and compassionate manner while maintaining objectivity;
- Resilience and proven ability to work under pressure in a changing work environment;
- Ability to make decisions independently based on the available information and facts;
- Strong attention to detail; and
- Proficiency in using registry systems to process and administer claims and payments.
