Your new role Your new role as the Practice Manager will include being responsible for the efficient and effective management of the office to ensure its growth and profitability. This role involves overseeing the operational and business management functions and supporting the structural engineering team in their professional operation and the attraction, development, mentoring, and retention of a high-performance team. Your main duties will include:
- Leading and managing operational support functions and suppliers to provide a high-quality service to internal and external customers
- Supporting optimal revenue generation and invoicing for the company
- Oversight of the office management function and supporting the Senior Associate - Structural Compliance Lead, and the Director of the company
- Providing high quality, timely reporting that enables the business to function effectively
- Developing a high-performance team while maintaining and ensuring a positive office culture
- Ensuring professional financial and accounting processes and systems are consistently maintained. This includes effective and efficient management of daily bank reconciliation and cash flow, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll and related activities, reporting of business performance, productivity and all aspects of the business management function.

- Surveying staff every six months to understand their level of satisfaction and get specific feedback

What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in Operations Management, Practice Management or Office Management is essential for this position, along with:
Demonstrated understanding of finance and accounting; technology; human resources; marketing, proposal management and office management. Proficiency with MS Office365 applications, and ability to learn new software and systems Ability to work independently and effectively within a team Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills Permanent Australian Resident or Australian Citizen What you'll get in return This role will offer you operational input where you will be able to effectively drive the office and implement change to continue increasing its success.
