Powered Data (Bid Architect) - Associate Director

Our Powered Data team brings together a unique mix of technology, frameworks and passionate people that are dedicated to supporting organisations navigate the complex data challenges they face during Data Migrations, Merger & Acquisition activity that involves movement of data; and Data Integrations.

We are going through an exceptionally high growth in recent years with a diverse portfolio of projects and opportunities. Therefore, we have multiple opportunities as part of our growing team.

We are seeking experienced management consultants to work in our Powered Data practice as valued members of our bid architect team that focuses on standardising our bid responses and approaches.

Your new role

We are looking for people that are passionate about creating compelling proposals for our clients and enjoy the complex data challenges associated with Data Migrations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Data Integrations. The role has been brought about by our rapid growth and your new role will see you:

Architect a compelling offer
  • Immersing yourself in our Powered Data methods and frameworks and taking a lead role in devising opportunity plans / approaches
  • Assessing customer issues, pursuit requirements and devising a competitive and compelling position.
  • Standardising proposals and bid approaches for our clients across various market sectors.
  • Leading role in preparing marketing materials and pricing strategies.
  • Working shoulder to shoulder with senior leadership, escalating issues where appropriate whilst representing KPMG.
Pursuing new client opportunities.
  • Supporting the future growth of our business by leading commercial development and sales activities.
  • Relentlessly pursuing innovation in preparing compelling deals for our clients to problems of high complexity.
  • Collaborating with other parts of the KPMG business to bring the best of KPMG to our clients.
Further growing a business
  • Fostering an inclusive environment and growth mindset in the team members by providing mentoring, across a diverse team - ranging from management consultants, coders, technologists and engineers.

You bring to the role

  • You are an individual who has strong management consulting skills and a background in Technology.
  • You have led bids, including tender/bid submissions, value proposition development, pricing strategy development and creation of marketing materials / tools to enable the business development process.
  • Experience in providing strategic direction to pursuit teams, working collaboratively to prepare capture plans, document evidence, synthesise complex information and develop winning strategies for major bids that address client needs.
  • Strong professional acumen with the ability to simplify client problems as part of proposal writing.
  • Ability to influence and drive challenging discussions to ensure that KPMG's risk is optimally managed on projects.
  • Have exposure to or an understanding of Data Integration Platforms (e.g. Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Clover Dx), API Management solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, MuleSoft API Manager) and / or one SaaS packaged COTS (Workday, Salesforce, MS Dynamics, S4/Hana)
  • You thrive on challenges and issues and enjoy solving problems.
  • You are passionate about growing and developing others.
  • You are an engaging presenter with strong communication skills, alongside strong relationship building skills.
