Here at ANZ, engineering is about delivering a seamless customer experience at scale through working with the rest of the business in an innovative, adaptive and agile way. As an Engineer within our Workflow Automation tech area, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing and supporting integration solutions and/or our underlying bank infrastructure. Our Engineers work closely with squad members to ensure outcomes exceed our customers’ expectations.
You will have significant hands-on engineering / development experience to drive software delivery excellence and engineering standards for the platform. You will enforce best practices for development teams and help guide the overarching platform architectural needs.

What will be in your toolkit?
  • Strong ability to triage, troubleshoot & diagnose incidents / defects across the full stack
  • Strong understanding of incident / problem management process with working knowledge of log aggregation / observability tools & container orchestration technologies
  • Strong development experience with defined quality and governance guardrails in building case management / workflow applications and BPM support
  • Rich experience with using continuous integration / delivery tools and working experience in an agile environment
  • Ability to cross-function between SRE and development roles
  • Mindset to support production applications and codebases you’ve written
  • Ability to work in a team environment; be coachable and able to coach too
  • Obsession with software engineering excellence, new methodologies and leading change
  • A desire to continuously adopt new techniques / technologies and drive innovation for ANZ
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
