12 month contract with possibility of extension
Your new company This company, a residential home builder, is currently transitioning and going through a period of growth over the next year. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the business on a 12-month contract (with possibility of extension) for multiple IT systems and applications projects.
Your new role Provide IT Project Management for new and ongoing projects to support their IT strategy. Develop plans and documentation, as well as reviewing and evaluating existing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Systems and processes improved and reviewed
- Ensure project timelines and budgets are met
- Identify, investigate and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices
- Deployment of completed solutions, including the creation, adoption and implementation of system test plans
- Coordinate a project team and ensure that goals are met for the project lifecycle and that collective and individual performance criteria is achieved
- Assist with the creation of test plans
- Liaise with other managers to decide on project time-lines and to ensure that the right resources and people are available
- Support any integration and interface issues between applications
- Provide application and related business process support to all users while monitoring the integrity of the applications
- Support the Head of People & Culture in identifying the organisations needs and documenting requirements in line with the IT Strategic Plan
- Coaches team members to increase their skills and confidence
- Provides specific, behavioural feedback on performance, both positive and negative that can be used for constructive, systematic development
What you'll need to succeed To succeed as the IT Project Manager, you will have the follow skill set:
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar Project Management role
- Ability to liaise well with internal and external stakeholders
- Understand and able to apply project methodologies to achieve IT project outcomes (e.g. agile, waterfall etc)
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- Able to translate business process requirements into IT application and reporting outcomes
- Ability to manage and prioritise a challenging workload
