Seeking Talent Acquisition Officers for a permanent opportunity Your new company
This organisation is a leading Canberra IT solutions provider. The core of the business is to provide their clients with industry leading customer service and technical advice. Your new role
The Talent Acquisition Officer sits with the people and culture branch of this organisation. This role will be responsible for the full recruitment process, tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Writing job descriptions with management
  • Writing job advertisements and posting on external platforms
  • Scheduling job interviews and assisting where required
  • Liaising with external recruiters and internally headhunting for candidates
  • Collating CV's and shortlisting for management
  • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
  • Managing and organising the onboarding of new starters
  • Conducting orientation where required for new starters
  • Creating contracts and all required onboarding documentation for new starters
  • Updating Employment Hero consistently during the recruitment and onboarding process and for all current employees
  • Help management in organising and executing training initiatives for all employees
  • Organising and executing reviews with management for all employees
What you'll need to succeed
The Talent Acquisition officer needs to have demonstrated HR experience, with qualifications in HR or relevant fields. The following criteria must be met:
  • Qualification and experience or Tertiary level qualification
  • Previous experience in recruitment procedures and onboarding
  • Understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Experience with Employment Hero would be advantageous ( but not essential)
  • Competent in writing high quality documentation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
