Join a large Queensland-based organisation undertaking a significant cyber security and business transformation program. Based in Brisbane, this opportunity offers an initial contract through to June 2027 and the chance to play a key role in shaping enterprise identity capabilities within a complex and highly regulated environment.
With substantial investment across cyber security and digital transformation initiatives, the organisation is seeking an experienced Identity Specialist to provide strategic guidance, solution design expertise and governance oversight across major identity and access management programs.
Your new role
As the Identity Specialist, you will play a key role in the design, governance and strategic direction of identity and access management initiatives within a major cyber security program.Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, architects and delivery partners, you will help define future-state identity capabilities, develop solution designs and provide guidance to ensure outcomes align with business objectives, security requirements and enterprise architecture standards.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale customer and workforce identity initiatives while supporting broader cyber security uplift activities across the organisation. It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level, influencing solution direction and driving design decisions across complex environments.Key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic guidance across identity and access management initiatives
• Developing solution designs, high-level designs and architecture artefacts
• Translating business requirements into scalable and secure identity solutions
• Reviewing and assuring vendor-delivered designs and implementation approaches
• Supporting technology roadmaps, governance processes and solution decisions
• Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
• Ensuring solutions align with security standards, enterprise architecture principles and organisational objectives

This is an initial contract through to June 2027 based in Brisbane.
What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM), Customer Identity (CIAM) or Workforce Identity initiatives
• Strong understanding of identity governance, access management and modern authentication concepts
• Experience contributing to solution design, architecture, strategy or technology roadmaps
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into technology outcomes
• Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to cyber security transformation or enterprise security programs
• Financial services, insurance or other regulated industry experience will be highly regarded
• Full Australian working rights
