Due to growth across the company as well as an internal move, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Finance & Administration Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will take ownership of finance whilst also overseeing the accounting support and administration team.

Your new role
You'll report to the Managing Director and will have a small team of accounting and administration staff reporting to you. Duties will evolve as this company continues to expand but include:
  • Management of the preparation and submission of financial management monthly reports, ensuring integrity and an accurate portrayal of the company's financial position
  • Preparation of accurate and timely annual package and audit. Liaise with external accountants and auditors
  • Assist in preparation of an Annual Operating Plan with the Managing Director and other relevant persons.
  • Report and manage against the plan, in addition to periodic revisions
  • Manage the working capital of the business on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the company's cash generation is maximised
  • Management of fixed assets and the purchasing function, maintenance and processes, ensuring capital expenditure justifications and approvals are met
  • Management of the maintenance, development and enhancement of accounting computer systems to provide timely and accurate management information
  • Manage the Payroll functions of the company, including superannuation and statutory responsibilities and returns
  • Manage the general administrative functions of the company, including GST, insurance, statutory responsibilities, superannuation, workers compensation, premises, logistics etc
  • Manage administrative / financial business projects etc
  • Accounts Receivable management, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Escalated debt collection as required
  • Accounts Payable oversight and attending to creditor queries and requests
  • Invoicing management, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and on schedule
  • Actively involved in projects designated by the Managing Director
  • Preparation of Management Meeting Minutes and Quality Review Committee Minutes
  • Liaise with Quality Team Members and Staff to ensure quality issues are resolved within the schedule set by the Quality Team
  • Other tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a CA or CPA qualified Accountant with excellent interpersonal and time management skills. You'll have operated as a Senior Accountant or as a Finance and Administration Manager within a small to medium enterprise. Ideally, you'll have worked in an evolving business and will be able to demonstrate adding value and a process improvement focus. You'll have excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to lead a team and build robust relationships with key stakeholders.
